Elon Musk suffered one of the biggest legal losses in U.S. history this week when the Tesla CEO was stripped of his $56 billion pay package in a case brought by an unlikely opponent, a former heavy metal drummer.

I’d say people in that position need that sort of confidence to do their job well. But that’s why there’s a board of directors: to reign in that ridiculous CEO overconfidence. Musk is the headline because he makes headlines but the real fuckers here are the board who though “sure, $56 billion dollars seems reasonable”.

Note: my Tesla was in the shop for ELEVEN months waiting for spare fucking parts from Tesla. I wonder how many they could have made with $56 billion…

So you don’t think the CEO of a company that’s trying to upend the entrenched oligopolies of automakers and big oil needs to be confident? I think it’s insane and hilarious to think it could have been done at all and yet here we are.

Look, I’m not saying CEO’s DESERVE that kind of money. I’m just saying they need to believe they are worth that kind of money. Nothing insane about confidence being a requirement to perform well in certain jobs. Hilarious… sure, why not, I’ll give you that one.

          needs to be confident

if he can’t handle the pressure, he needs another line of work… although, i understand why he has confidence problems… i mean just look at him…
