    I think the reason that Graphene OS only uses Google Pixels is because they offer the most hardware security out of any phone. To be honest I don’t think its too much of an issue because obviously installing Graphene OS onto the phone will completely degoogle the device.

      You’re correct. I personally disagree with the idea that buying hardware from Google for this is a good thing though. I’d rather buy slightly less secure hardware that I feel aligns more with my ideals and not need to hack it.

      Fairphone is doing some pretty neat stuff, for instance.

      When I mention the walled garden features, I am exactly making reference to the ones promoted by Google phones which set the base for that environment.
