They probably left the key in the ignition.
Who steals a horse and buggy and parks it at their motel? I mean it’s likely to not have LoJack but come on now.
Police have issued an APB on Arthur Morgan, a known criminal whose gang recently moved into the area.
Probably in a chop shop by now
*slaughterhouse
“It must have been stolen. It’s not like it up and walked away!”
Why were they at Walmart?
Edit: I thought the point of being Amish was to cut the rest of society off.
Why does anybody go there? Because they are people who want to buy something there.
Amish shop at a lot of stores. You see them everywhere if you’re near Amish country.
Shopping? Why else would you be there?
Why would an Amish family be shopping at Walmart? Are they actually Amish or are they simply Mennonites?
Unless they were on that coming of age adventure where they check out the regular world and decide if they wanna stay Amish or not. 🤷🏻♂️
Both Amish and Mennonites shop and use electronics as needed. And it also varies quite a bit from church to church.
It’s not that they don’t use modern technology in every case. They just value a solid days work of some manual labor and see most of it as shortcuts.
I’m not even phased by the shopping at a store itself (surely they still buy lumber and hardware and such), more the specific one because I thought they also stayed away from processed foods and stuff. Do they not? And if not: how did that idea get in my head? 😵💫
Walmart around me has a ton of fresh food. Things like flour, salt, beans, are typically fair game as well in my experience. Clothing I suspect is another reason to hit up a Walmart.
They try and keep it in the community but they gets harder each year I’m guessing.
