The former premier of Manitoba said she will retain her Tuxedo seat for the time being, but didn’t commit to remaining as MLA for the full duration of her term.

She said the upcoming leadership race may impact her decision.

To the surprise of no one.

What is a little surprising, however, is retaining the seat. I sort of expected a by-election. But it’s the only PC seat in Winnipeg, and that would be at risk in a by-election, so maybe it’s strategic to hold it.
