Assistant (Home) has already gone to shit and it’s obvious they’re just cruising. I fully expect they announce within a year or two that all of our assistant devices are deprecated and brick them. 'Cuz that’s what Google does.

They removed all games AND custom 3rd-party apps. Just what, three stupid ‘games’ now – “Tell a joke”, “Crystal Ball” and “Tell me what any animal sounds like”.

And when I say “Hey Google, play the latest episode of blah-blah- podcast” it always responds “Here’s where you left off on blah-blah podcast…”

Like FFS, I said play the LATEST episode, not resume the previous episode I was playing. The workaround for this obvious, annoying and months-old bug is to instead say “Hey Google, play the <current month> <current day>-st episode of blah-blah podcast…” even if the “latest” episode was days ago. At least it plays the “latest” one.

Assistant is dying and they are obviously letting it die.

I own a few of the Assistant displays and they are becoming more confused with the same daily commands for home automation.

I’m not sure if this will make things worse or better at this point.
