    article says a 77% mortality rate for people flying like that. i wonder if he knew the risks when he snuck on. I can’t imagine what -50°C feels like.

      Little chilly I think.

      At least in the wheel well there’s not much wind… or oxygen for that matter.

      Actually, if you don’t die of suffocation it may not be as cold as you would think due to the lower air density to transfer heat from you.

      I still wouldn’t risk it.

    colder than Everest on average. Most people summit around –20°C, but a bad scenario is –40°C (if you’ve planned your ascent, I think it can be colder during the “worst” time to climb- January).

    And even then it’s almost a suicide mission. Let alone not being able to move around or be in a sleeping bag + tent.
