Coming over from the Kindle Paperwhite. Said screw Amazon recently. Canceled prime, Kindle Unlimited.
If anyone has any tips or advice, feel free to share. But just wanted to say it feels good getting out of the Amazon ecosphere.
Download Calibre on your computer and install the KoboTouchExtended plugin. It will allow you to upload optimized epub files to your kobo which adds some extra features and faster page turns. I live my Kobo, welcome to the family. 😄
Awesome, thank you!
Make sure to look into Overdrive and Libby at your local library and get yourself a library card. The kobo readers are pretty good at digitally borrowing from your local library. Endless books for free and I may be wrong, but does the Libra 2 have Bluetooth for audiobooks too?
Edit: also, kudos for ditching Amazon!
Best tip I have is http://send.djazz.se
It’s like send to kindle, but for kobo and it runs the ebook through kepubify.
If you are using a sleep cover (if not why?) then make sure you buy a few of them as they may end up being had to get down the line when it starts to wear out.
Install Koreader, it’s better and faster than the default reader (on my Clara2E).
