    And there are schools just to the SE that they’ll have to bus the kids to because no one put in a walking path. The grosser thing about this for me is the destruction of wetlands caused by the sprawl. All of the open water around there is where they dug from to get enough dirt to bring the houses/roads above the water table. I am guessing it was originanly one big, flat, flood preventing, wildlife supporting, groundwater recharging, surface water cleaning swamp.

      This is like 90% of development in Florida, although sometimes they make little sculpted ponds where everybody gets a waterfront and sometimes even a boat dock and somehow this is seen as valuable and luxury instead of a terrible idea that will be underwater in a literal sense very soon
