Hamas is the official government and controls the army/militants of Gaza, they intentionally massacred almost a thousand civilians in Israel, and then expect them not to close off the border? It was their fucking choice that the border got slammed shut.

Imagine your neighbour started a fight and as a result someone cut off all the food and water to your whole area and didn’t let you leave to get some. Is it “your fucking choice” to starve? Give me a break.

But fair enough, if what you say is accurate I will add Egypt to the “killing people for no reason” list. They are quite some way behind Israel, but still.

If 65% of my neighbourhood supported that neighbour in attacking, we’d call that democracy.

Hamas has popular support for attacking Israel in gaza.

In this poll on October 6th (before any “rally around the flag” effect) this poll https://www.foreignaffairs.com/israel/what-palestinians-really-think-hamas?check_logged_in=1&utm_medium=promo_email&utm_source=lo_flows&utm_campaign=registered_user_welcome&utm_term=email_1&utm_content=20231223 found that only 24% would vote for Hamas. And have no trust in the government.

Your poll also only shows 52% support among Gazans even with the indiscriminate killing going on at the time.

This is literally a “country” who has their own government and army attacking another country with democratic support from their people and then getting mad when that country hits them back harder.

The last election was in 2006, before about half of all Gazans were even alive.

And “hits them back harder.” If you think this is an accurate depiction of what’s going on then you need help bro. They have killed 20 THOUSAND people.

Question: is an innocent Israeli life worth more than an innocent Palestinian life?

Edit: “should Israel turn the other cheek?” Obviously fucking not. This is such a disingenuous question. nobody is saying that. There are so many options between “harder daddy hamas” and doing a fucking genocide it isn’t even funny. How about actually targeting Hamas and not innocents? Just one idea of MANY.

They can’t, Hamas is literally using human shields.

The IDF blew up two houses today, two… and killed 90 people including Palestinian civilians, UN workers, Hamas militants, and Israeli hostages. All inside TWO fucking houses. How the fuck are you supposed to avoid innocents when they’re literally eating dinner at the same table?

As the saying goes, if you have 11 people and a Nazi eating dinner together, you have 12 Nazis.

So you’re just going to ignore all of the stuff I sent you about Gazans’ views of Hamas? Why exactly should anyone talk to you again?

Hamas is literally using human shields.

Like they were in al shifa hospital? 🤣

If my neighbor killed someone then started a fight, if I had the power to remove them and then didn’t, I would expect I might be hurt from collateral damage.

It would be more akin to Canada sending missiles into the US approved by the government and as a Canadian not expecting that the US would respond back.
