    The fact that this is probably a fairly non-controversial pick in a year that arguably had a bumper crop of great games really underscores just what an amazing game this is.

      Honestly I can’t think of a ton of bangers this year besides BG3 and Alan Wake 2. Lots of hyped projects like Starfield and Sea of Stars (lol star twice yeah) fell flat.

    Truly, trying to decide between BG3 and Alan Wake 2 when voting for GOTY was like trying to pick a favorite parent, or child. Both so good, and huge achievements in unique ways. Stacked year for awards, that’s for sure!
