100% support this. We are falling almost as far behind on energy generation as we are on housing, and the consequences will be at least as dire if not worse. A warming world means more air conditioning will be required, an electrifying transportation network means more electricity use, decarbonization of industries like steel foundries and chemical plants again means more electricity. It is insane that we haven’t been investing more in the capacity and resiliency of our power grid. This is a step in the right direction but it’s only the first step of many that are needed. New builds on the Pickering and Darlington sites next, then let’s talk about Nanticoke.
