The going rate at used car dealerships is 5000 and a friend of a friend has a car in reasonable condition for 1000. I doubt I could find the 1000 offer later on.

For reference a like ebike costs like 2000 without shipping and nobody sells them in my region.

I initially needed a car to get to a job that I don’t have anymore. But maybe it’ll be useful if I pick up a job outside the city again?

Also, maybe I could flip the car? since I need the money since i’m having job trouble atm.

Part 1 of this post if you’re interested.

When I was first car-shopping, like 3 recessions ago, I was told by numerous people that if it’s less than $2K, you don’t want it. If you know the seller personally and they’re doing you a favor, that’s a different story, but I can’t imagine that $2K line in the sand has gone down; it’s most assuredly gone way up.

I sold a car to a friend like that once; the engine exploded about 3500 miles later. I told them to change the oil every 2k miles because it burned oil, they didn’t and told me they thought the red oil light on the dash was a warning, like the fuel light >_<

All that said: you can get a great bike kitted out for $500-1000, and it’ll cost you way less in the long run, so, fuck cars.

So they just ignore warnings? That can’t be good safety.
