That’s correct, the url parser does it. I don’t know why, but its probably harmless. Also gives us the benefit of having similar urls when the same link is posted, but with different endings ( slash, no slash, etc ) .
Actually I think its a bug in clean_url_params(), it should only call set_query() if new_query is not empty.
It is breaking Lemmur by now, also is sometimes added without sense like to some static site :^)
Its fixed in the next release.
