Microsoft keeps releasing new versions of Windows.

They say each version is better than the previous one.

Is there some truth to this ? Or is this mostly marketing bullshit to push people to spend money?

    Windows 8 brought some great performance improvements and fast boot, but was ruined for most by the UI. I never used it, but look up performance gaps and Win8 comes out on top. As for Win10 and beyond, I can’t name you one thing. Hardware support was what forced me to upgrade, but that feels artificial to me as Win7 or 8 could have kept going had drivers been made for it. I can tell you that Win11 was the slowest OS I have ever used despite my hardware being 15 years newer and a higher tier inside it’s generation than my old Win7 rig…
