Well it’s nice that the Indian government can wipe their hands and claim they did something, but Matrix network users can easily circumvent the Element ban through another app.
It really highlights the advantage of such a de-centralized network and its resilience against government censorship. If they had blocked Discord for example then they would have closer to full control because Discord owns the network, infrastructure, client and user data.
