  • Yikes. So this isn’t about me, it’s about 4 people who had lumbar or sacrum disc bulges/ruptures. Also over different points in time where medicine advanced.

First was a music conductor about 22 years ago, 35-40 y/o. He opted for the surgery at the time. Full quick recovery. At the time it was about 50/50 for full recovery, or worsening of the issues.

Second was a family member about 21 years ago, ~40 y/o he opted out of the surgery for deep steroid injections and physical therapy. It took about a year and a half, but it resolved, and no problems since.

Third was about 12 years ago. Again early 40s, opted for surgery. Surgery was a success, but didn’t resolve it nearly as quickly or as well as the first person.

Fourth was ~6 years ago, late 20s. Long history of back problems do to sports related compressions when she was younger (she was a ‘flyer’ in cheerleading). She was told she’d be an excellent candidate for the newest minimally invasive technique, but opted out of surgery and got the injections like the second person. However it did not, and has not resolved. She still refuses the surgery. It limits her ability to bend over, and get to the ground, still has pain and sciatica. She regularly sees a chiropractor (against the recommendations of everyone).

I think, nowadays, a good orthopedic doctor will be able to give you the best care. It’s not fun, but it doesn’t need to be as scary as it used to be. Plus the symptoms can always get worse. You’re doing the right thing and listening to your body.

  • The way his rhetoric is somehow increasingly more tyrannical, he may be starting to panic while he loses support.

Since he still seems to ignore that Biden is POTUS and Harris is VPOTUS until Jan 20, what is he expecting his paramilitary to do?

This isn’t anything similar to Germany where the military was a separate head of state than the executive. He can’t just threaten the current elected government into handing over power “or there will be blood shed.”

The military doesn’t work like that. You might have idiot grunts that want to cause problems, but how many base quartermasters are just gonna go “sure have at it, everything must go?” How many of those quartermasters can unilaterally allow idiots to raid their armories? How many mechanic teams will be able to get Abrams up and running for magats in time for them to make it off base?

How many of these idiots don’t know the crazy ass security the white house itself has? And that’s just DC! On a larger scale? They dont have the ability or numbers to strongarm state governments even.

I’m also nearly certain they actually think progressives do not believe in self defense. They likely think most don’t own firearms, let alone other forms of self defense. They want this to be a bloody civil war, when at best this will be a terrorist group doing exactly what they’ve already been doing.

  • Woah, hold on. There’s something here.

It’s a business transaction, sure. But the social interaction, while to us seems like sarcastic exaggerating, is humorous complimenting. In order to do that, it has to be language you can use frequently and honestly.

This is doing wonders for his mental health, likely because part of his thoughts are “what could I say to make ME feel more complimented than that.” He’s actively using positive self talk unconsciously.
