We have had to make the decision to euthanise our old boy dog, which will happen tomorrow. He is such a gentle and loveable thing and making this decision has been so hard, especially as mentally he is fine. He has been struggling with his hips for a while and the walks have been getting shorter and shorter. Even with pain killers he is struggling. He’s too old for prosthetics or an operation the vet advised that the deterioration is happening faster, so rather act now before his life is too painful and uncomfortable.

So this is making the week a bit stressful. But other than this, the weeks is going fine. Have to focus on the good.

I started my final year Physiotherapy internship this week. It’s been a busy week mentally and physically but all in all, a good week. Last week, I was a bit unsure how this week would go as I’m doing this in Dutch and I’m still learning the language. I do sometimes find myself smiling and nodding when people are talking and all I’m hearing is “blah blah blah” but then somehow it all comes together.

Busuu is similar to Duolingo , but with more focus on grammar. Have to subscribe to get the most of it. It has quite a small language choice.

My weeks are pretty routine (and I like schedules and routines). Wake up, organise household stuff, gym, do study related stuff, Dutch study stuff, do more household related stuff, wind down for the day, sleep. All in all, I can’t complain.
