Which brings me back to. “What are you saying?”. Banning from what?

It doesn’t explain the previous comment tho. The “block Linux” is what I’m not getting. Did you mean drop Linux native, because proton/wine is so good that it isn’t necessary?

What are you talking about?

Had a similar issue with HD2. Tried it again a month ago, no issues.

This isn’t just a “people in charge” problem. Way too many developers are part of the problem by using LLMs for the wrong problems.

Banking apps have worked without issues, in my experience.
The only things I’ve had issues with, is in-app purchases. Paid apps work, but the in app stuff is hit and miss.
Lead poisoning has been my working theory to explain the last 50 years.
This is the simple checklist for using LLMs:
All other use is irresponsible. Unless of course the knowledge within the output isn’t important.
I can’t remember the last time I’ve heard someone use the term communism or socialism correctly.

I haven’t seen anything yet. At work, the ones that praise AI the loudest are exceptionally highly correlated with the people who lack a good understanding of the core concepts. The ones that just float around cargo culting and looking busy by making noise.
That said, LLMs are still useful tools, that are highly misused. What they’re useful for, is a lot less than most think. The user needs to be the expert. If they’re not, they’d be better off reading a book on the matter (and how things are looking, it might have to be one written before LLMs came out).

That’s cool. We do it the boring way of getting a notification to the hassio app. It unfortunately uses google’s notification api, and I’m not too happy with Google knowing when I do laundry.

Laundry machine can be monitored reliably with a smart socket.
Here is a blueprint for HomeAssistant that has been working well: https://community.home-assistant.io/t/detect-and-monitor-the-state-of-an-appliance-based-on-its-power-consumption-v2-1-1-updated/421670

That part threw me off. Last time i used it, I did incremental backups of a 500 gig disk once a week or so, and it took 20 seconds max.

The 80% number is only correct if you separately tally “islamist extremism”, which is such a weird thing to do, as its mostly a different flavoured right-wing extremism. The actual number is over 90%
Michigan Left intersection
At first I thought it was a joke. But sure enough: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michigan_left
So many questions. Is there ever a traffic setting where this can be considered good? I know roundabouts in the US are considered socialist (or some other comparable reasoning), but this seems ridiculous.
A Michigan left generally allows through traffic on the minor crossroads to proceed straight across the major road or highway, especially on the more heavily traveled minor roads.
That sure makes it sound like a situation for an over/underpass with simple ramps for the major road / highway.

That’s what we call having hundred of untouched games in the steam library. Right?

Please feel encouraged to specify that this current trend mostly applies to USA.

Apple has always been selective as to how they compare their newest chips. You’ve always been able to get the equivalent performance for about half to a third of the price, or between 2 and 10 times the performance for the same price, depending on the type of computationally intensive task.
And by performance, I don’t mean single thread, as that hasn’t been a limiting factor for quite som time.
Don’t get me wrong. For traveling, and doing software development, it’s the only manufacturer that has managed to make laptops that don’t need to be connected to an outlet within an hour or two. I don’t know any better, at least.
Sheesh. Another community I’m more than happy to ignore.
