You can buy either large compostable bags to line the entire bin or use small ones you tie shut and than toss those into the bin.

I’ve seen firemen seriously damage elevators cause they aren’t properly trained to open them if something goes wrong. That turns into verify costly repairs and downtime. If I we’re a building owner of turn them off than deal with damage.

im not sure this is a sync for lemmy issue, ive got like 5 diff lemmy apps on my phone and have had this happen multiple times to all of them FYI.

i suspect its a staying logged in issue and the apps not realizing they are logged out type of a thing but who knows.

I’ve found the way around that is to enter any random post in that community and the sub appears on the sidebar now.
