Fedo ¶@lemmy.blahaj.zoneOPto Bike Commuting@lemmy.ml•Advices for a commuting bike for the countryside3·14 days agoThat’s interesting, I never heard of that. The thing is at the moment my bike commuting is extremely rare, just recently I started to ride around both for health reasons and because I simply enjoy it a lot.
But still, they seem indeed something to consider. What surprises me is that I supposed I needed to get a bike which is lighter than the one I’m riding (an old B’twin bike that someone gave to me), but maybe I was wrong
Now I’m curious to know where is that place but most of all what is your recipe

Analysis based on children of average height, at European level, standing in the center of the front of vehicles. Drivers are of average height at European level.
But yeah, you’re totally right, the one described in the article is usually the best case scenario, the reality is even more problematic than that
Fedo ¶@lemmy.blahaj.zoneOPto Coffee@lemmy.world•Where do you get your beans? A coffee shops thread2·26 days agoThat is quite surprising for me. I knew that outside Italy, and USA in particular, the coffee culture were a lot more varied, but I didn’t expect common stores to also embrace it in this was
However it makes sense actually. Heven here in normal stores you can find coffee for espresso machines and moka, however specific varieties and single origin roasts are getting more and more common
Yeah, that’s concerning. However after being on the Fediverse for a while, I understand that the freedom from corporations comes in a trade-off with privacy, and even if I’m not tech savvy I’m convinced this isn’t going to change. Maybe there should more understanding about this, and we should put online only things we are totally ok with being publicly available and share private stuff only in specific places such as encrypted chats

🖐️ I have a dumb question
Aren’t votes on Lemmy private?
There are two things you should check in order to enable the snapping you need
For the action you need to perform, check the snapping menu on the right side of the upper toolbar, with the magnet icon 🧲 You can activate/deactivate it, but also open the snapping settings panel in which you can choose the behaviour of the snapping. Here you have a more detailed description Snapping on Affinity.help
You may need to check also the curve snapping if you need dinamic guides during curves manipulation. You can find the setting in the upper context toolbar while using the Pen tool or the Node tool. Also for these settings you can refer to the official guide: Curve snapping on Affinity.help
Sorry I should have specified it, in each of these places they serve pour over coffee

Fedo ¶@lemmy.blahaj.zoneOPto Coffee@lemmy.world•Must-visit coffee roasters and cafes in Tokyo?2·1 month agoSì sono italiano, di Bologna! Fun fact, the Japanese lady who brewed the coffee actually knew Bologna from a trip she made a while ago, the world is small I guess
Fedo ¶@lemmy.blahaj.zoneOPto Coffee@lemmy.world•Must-visit coffee roasters and cafes in Tokyo?1·1 month agoFinally I went to Tokyo and visited the Glitch shop in Ginza, and it was amazing! I can confirm the coffee is great but service in particular is flawless, from the presentation of the staff and the process to quality of the preparation.
In Japan is not guaranteed to find staff speaking good English, which is ok, I totally understand it’s not easy and one shouldn’t take it for granted, however I very much appreciated that all Glitch staff did speak perfect English, so I had the opportunity to ask some questions and even chat with the lady who prepared my V60
I also found the price not so high compared to what I find in Italy. Here you can get a good pour over in a specialty coffee in a range between 5 and 10 euro, most often 8. In Tokyo I paid 1500 yen, roughly 9 euro, so considering the high quality of the service I’d say their prices are pretty average

Is it really a good alternative to iPhones/Android phones?English52·3 months agoWell I imagined their website was enough to get the context of the question. I heard about Jolla from a random Fediverse post so I went straight to just search its name eventually finding their website I just wanted to know if they sucked 🙃
Judge reverses herself, allowing Northville to close downtown streets this summer after all
That’s good news, however it’s not like other opposing businesses owner doesn’t have a point
I mean, I live in Europe but specifically in Italy, not exactly the ruling country in the field of walkable and carless road systems, so I get that people living in USA are extremely disadvantaged in this sense, but exactly because I live in Italy I also understand what it means when an authority makes chances that are good on paper but very badly executed in reality, that’s why I honestly can’t blame completely the people who disagreed with the closure
However I really hope they will be able to keep the neighbourhoods closed and safe in the end, but complaints needs to be listened and the people struggles acknowledged
