It would actually be more effective to put the reflective stuff on the under side of the hatch since this would reduce its ability to radiate heat to your space. It would look terrible of course. Actual insulation on the top is going to be the most effective.

I think the colours will look good together. I have a set of panaracer paselas on my vintage road bike that I like! And they should match the brooks honey saddle. Are you sure 32s will fit with fenders?

Not having a tube allows the tire to flex more so it’s more compliant. It’s not that you’ll avoid punctures, but that they often seal themselves. Tubeless definitely isn’t necessary and probably isn’t super beneficial for most people but there are definite advantages for some uses.
