Heh. Probably not. I just didn’t know what else to call it. Maybe ‘disfellowship’ or something?
Divorced?
I am personally very happy that the SBC voted in overwhelming favor to dismember SaddleBack. I am, however, saddened that it had to come to this. Seems that Rick Warren had become unentreatable, even from scripture.
They’re pretty basic right now. Remove comments/posts. Ban users from the community. And edit the appearance / sidebar of the community.
I remember the first time I read that book and I found it so incredibly helpful. And though it was written 400 years ago, it’s still quite relevant and always will be, I think.
Getting a new community up and running is actually pretty difficult. Many of mine on reddit failed. But a few of them took off.
I buy mostly from bandcamp and Amazon.
I use Plex to host my music. It’s not super difficult to set up. And Plexamp is a pretty good player.
Jellyfin is another server like Plex, but I haven’t ever set it up so I don’t know how involved it is.
Well I agree with you there.
We definitely need women to help us to be gentle, but I don’t think circumventing scripture to accomplish that is the way to go.
I have dumb questions. What’s going on with the SBC? And why is Rick Warren pushing so hard for women pastors when the SBC already fought this battle 50 years ago?
Not immediately. But people will learn there are other things out there. And reddit will keep doing stupid things that anger their mods and users and eventually it’ll wane.
Maybe not as dramatically as digg though
Yes but can you create communities in other instances?
Yes, very good point there.
Well there is the Chevy Bolt. Which is a very good deal on a pretty good range EV. But yeah… It’s still a Chevy
I had the same thought. They’d like to become leader but they’ve moved way too slow. They’re a good 10 years behind.
But they’re a big company. Perhaps they can turn things around.
It was a few days ago. But it looks like it’s stuck now when I try to create new ones. Probably too much traffic at the moment.
Yeah. We’ve moved already. Sorry!
