It’s either a rhetorical question, or a statement with an implied “this is” at the beginning. Either way, I think it’s a very good take on where AI is, and how companies are trying to utilize it.

The Bazzite console I built which is connected to my living room TV stands in contradiction. The Linux-driven gaming PC that’s sitting on my desk is confirmation.

Windows 11 and the forced obsolescence of hardware is leaving a sour aftertaste, and at this point a game maker essentially has to choose to not support Linux via Proton.

You might not be able to run Battlefield or CoD, but Marvel Rivals and Overwatch run particularly well, if not better on Linux.

And with Microsoft entering the handheld market, this is very much a question of Linux vs Windows for gaming.

Excellent points. You are, however, presuming that Americans will act within their own best interests. Or that they’re capable of following basic math over the illusion of freedom given by ICE vehicles. Americans will transition, but I’m not optimistic it’ll be at a reasonable pace.

I’ve never seen 7%, but yeah, after everyone gets their cut the US is around 3% at the end of the day to process credit cards. We even have gas stations here that have separate advertised rates for credit vs cash.

“Something changed” is an off ramp for those who are in too deep to back out without a mental crisis caused by accepting reality. More then they deserve, but it’s a way out while saving face.

SG1 is a great example of a show that has a great ending, and then was renewed like twice after it should have ended.

You’ll get like 3 or 4 good seasons out of Atlantis. It’s fun. The show runs into issues near the end with some poor writing and a main character dropping off. Although I loved the actors who came in later on, it wasn’t enough to resolve some bad plots. Worth a watch though, the show wraps nicely… unlike Stargate Universe…

Universe had promise, but it didn’t get a fair run. They also had a scene that pushed with one character death being a bit too much for me, which kind of fits with the realist / dark / edgy vibe they were going for. Worth a watch if you’re okay knowing it doesn’t have a real ending and want more universe building, otherwise skip it.

Skip the SG1 “movies” that come after the series.

There was a TV movie created (called origins?) that takes place decades before the series. I recall that being a fun watch.

Ah, yes… transitions are lovely, and modern CSS is quite the magician. But really, must the author sneer so theatrically at SPAs? His disdain bleeds through every paragraph. One might almost suspect he’s less interested in performance… and more in winning an argument.

I’ve been considering putting a parent on Fedora Kinoite. Less to break, and they understand the App Store concept so just using flatpacks isn’t far fetched for them.
