Same! I’m surprised it’s still running ok after 8 years. No point in replacing it yet, only reason I want to is for a better camera and battery life.

I play occasionally, mostly I just change up my seasonal decor every couple months now though. I don’t have anything left to do on my island so I’m kind of just waiting until a new game in the series is released.

I want it but not for $30 CAD. Maybe if it goes on sale for 50-60% off. Apparently they didn’t scale up the UI so all the icons are still itty bitty. Laziest port ever 😑

I want more Animal Crossing 🤞 I’m hoping with it’s success for New Horizons that we don’t have to wait 12 years again for the next one. A new Mario would be good too though, Odyssey was a lot of fun.

I bought Reka and Baldurs Gate 3, haven’t played BG3 yet but Reka is fun! It’s buggy so I’m holding off on playing more until it’s a bit more stable but I’m excited. Been playing a bit of my backlog though before jumping into BG3.

I hate what Canadian airlines are getting away with, it’s such bullshit. I was traveling with my family over the summer and because of events out of our control, we weren’t able to check in for our return flight early and had to do it when we got to the airport. Air Canada turns around and says my parents don’t have a assigned seats and are on the standby list for if one becomes available. How the fuck are they allowed to over-sell a flight? We paid for our seats the same as anyone else but here they are saying that there was no seat available. It was fucked up and they shouldn’t be allowed to charge hundreds for just the possibility of flying home.

Luckily it worked out and we were all able to get seats, but the stress this caused and the fact that this is perfectly legal is completely unacceptable.

A lot of people don’t get enough paid sick leave to cover 1-2 days off a month (maybe more depending on medical conditions like endometriosis). I know people that have to take unpaid sick days because of this, and others that take a lot of pain meds to be able to get through the work day. I’m fortunate that I do get more sick days than a lot of people in Canada but I still don’t get enough to cover a day every month plus any additional I need to take for appointments, migraines, illness, etc.

I also can see the stigma these workers receive when they’re so frequently absent from work, and a flexible work arrangement could help reduce that.

People can’t afford to just take unpaid sick leave all the time, and when they’re passed up for job opportunities because they’re “unreliable” then that also doesn’t improve their financial situations.

Not to mention they take so long to actually open up so you could chop off the peduncle before it blooms. It’s weeks between peduncle formation and blooming :P
