Gotta get that “Legendary” status
Gotta get that “Legendary” status
Using whole numbers can be easier when estimating
Ehh, I’d prefer they bag it and put it in my trash bin, rather than just leaving a pile of shit in my yard. I’d honestly prefer neither, but using my bin to throw poop bags or even loose trash doesn’t bother me too much
But my bin is also only on the curb when it’s trash day. And they pick them up twice a week here, so a poop bag won’t necessarily “marinate” in there for long. And I rinse the bin with a hose if it becomes gross, but that’s rare because usually the rain will handle most of it
But that’s just my particular situation, so it doesn’t bother me as much. I could easily see how a multitude of different factors, might make the situation aggravating/infuriating
Never thought I’d feel lucky about my trash bin situation though. Sometimes it really is the little things I guess
“We have learned nothing in twelve thousand years.”
― Pablo Picasso
That’s an almost perfect way to describe how it makes me feel — though that statement’s a little more profound than just ‘awesome’ lol
I’m absolutely going to check-out all the info you linked, and thank you. I just got off work this morning and will undoubtedly end up going through it… cause it’s still blowing my tiny little brain a bit someway. One of the coolest things I’ve learned in a while
Holy shit… that is incredible. Thank you for the insight! I never knew and am at a bit at a loss for words — just… awe
Rebirth of a community right here
I’m a nurse working in a large hospital. I did ICU nursing for almost 8 years, and now I’m a “float pool” nurse… which means they send me to whatever unit needs help that shift (Except pediatrics. That’s not my gig, and our pediatrics has a separate Children’s Hospital anyway).
Every day is a new adventure. I might be working in one of the ICU’s (Neuro, Cardiac, Surgical, Medical), or I could be on any of the other floor units (Med-Surg and such). Currently on a Nephrology unit, cursing the fact that I scheduled myself to work the night that time rolls back an hour. So it’ll be a little over a 13 hour shift tonight :(
But it’s hard to say what a typical day looks like. Lots of charting, time management, monitoring, and critical thinking… as well as the physical aspect of patient care. It’s definitely interesting and I love it. But it can also be draining (physically, mentally, and emotionally), so ya gotta make sure to maintain your own balance too
Their head is, at least. The clawed feet can get rather… “scratchy” though
Mmmm… there’s nothing quite like warm, pumpkin pie
Their mom definitely got it… Slam! with the alley-oop!
I got the “Robert Sponge Rectangle Slacks” version from Spirit Halloween… but it doesn’t hold water when pissing myself :(
Respect. The casette-aux is way better than the radio transmitters, if you don’t have bluetooth nor an aux input. I was using one up until about 2015 (with my ipod instead of a cd Walkman though), before my car finally gave up the ghost. Now I just use bluetooth
My wife and I both use the “thumbs down” method. It’s funniest when we’re both doing it to some ass-hat, while riding together.
It often de-escalates the person though, as if they don’t know how to respond. They usually just make angry gestures and mutter (probably obscenities) to themselves, but their rage usually chills out a bit. It’s almost like you make them aware of how childish they’re acting
I started watching Star Trek solely because of the memes here, and it turned out that I really liked it… and then my wife joined me after just a few episodes of TOS. Turns out we both really like it and now have a plethora of great sci-fi to watch together
We’ve watched TOS, TNG, and now we’re about halfway through season 1 of Voyager. Plus several movies in-between. The memes converted us lol
Hey, congratulations! We just made nine years over here too
First I’ve heard of this. “Better to keep your mouth shut and seem stupid — rather than open it and remove all doubt”. Elon really is a massive dipshit
They’re still in use at most banks where I live. Most hospitals use them too; way faster than dumbwaiters
Damn, I haven’t thought about those in a long time
