BB being able to protect itself from the big players is actually a success story of patents. The 800 lb gorilla’s of the industry never made as good of a keyboard, but if they could have copied BB’s superior design, they would have stomped them in a heartbeat.
There’s a lot of shit about what happens for a dying company and selling patents and so forth that absolutely is scummy. Serious discussion needs to happen there, but calling for them to be abolished? That’s just naive.

Now with more cars having AWD they should need it less Quick clarifications, via 2 points: A) AWD does not help one iota when you need to steer or brake. B) Road maintenance is done for the lowest common denominator.
Better *tires *would mean less salt needed, but some places (like yours by the sound of it) end up needing more of the ice/snow removed due to more people with bad tires.

Controversial opinion time: no matter your stance on Diversity, Equality and Inclusion, it was doomed from the start, because it’s too easy to be perceived as unfair discrimination.
I get people not knowing what DEI stands for (because all they see is DEI this and DEI that), but when you spell out the words it sure makes that opinion sound a bit dumb, doesn’t it? I recommend anyone everywhere to correct people complaining about DEI do exactly this.

I deleted FB from my life a few years back, but I’m like >< this close to trying to set up a domain and my own friendica just for family. Back in the days of chronological order, FB was really nice for sharing photos and life event stuff.
