I would piggyback on the people saying to get a PC, and think about building a home theater PC. You can use steam big picture mode to make it act like a console, but you can also use it for other things. You can even use steam’s streaming capabilities to stream to other devices on your network like your phone or laptop if you want to be elsewhere.
this looks pretty neat, definitely adding to my wishlist.
My wife has struggled with disordered eating, and it’s been a long journey for both of us. She is also tall and got to a really scary place. She’s doing much better now, but it continues to be a process. Keep up the great work and don’t give up!
Really cool idea, hoping to see updates on the project as it goes!
Did anyone else ever play Airfix Dogfighter? You got to fly model planes all through a house and break glass and stuff. Super fun times 😁
I really love A Show of Hands by Rush. It’s one of my favorite of their eras, though I feel like the “synth era” isn’t as universally loved by fans
Yeah, it wasn’t until my second time starting the game that I took in any of the combat tutorials
For me after some time away from PC gaming, getting a steam deck was one thing that got me back into it. The other thing though was definitely selecting relatively short games. I played a lot of open-ended games that I could never finish like rimworld or crusader kings, it was nice to get back into games with a beginning middle and end. And in the same vein it means I’ve been playing stuff that I was interested in playing back in the 2010s but didn’t really have the time/money/hardware for
Do you think that a significant number of people who would benefit from some amount of student loan forgiveness are in this situation? Do you believe that it would be good to do nothing so that some undeserving people aren’t helped as well?
If there were a progressive candidate in the general election I would’ve voted for them 🤷 Believe me I didn’t vote for Biden with much hope for anything changing for the better in the country.
I’m using it both for notes at work (software development) as well as a separate graph for my own thoughts, ideas, todos, pretty much everything. Using Syncthing to sync my graphs between devices works pretty well, though it’s had a bit of a learning curve in getting it set up.

I played assassin’s Creed 2 and Dishonored, which have been in my backlog for ages. The Steam deck has really rekindled my love of PC gaming
Just finished Dishonored and now I’m on to Dishonored 2
Katamari is just such a gem of a game. Totally novel concept, amazing presentation, lots of replayability. Really hard to follow up on that
I just played through Dishonored, which worked great! Also Assassin’s Creed 2 was a fun one to finally finish from the backlog. It was the first game I completed on the steam deck and enjoyed messing around with configuring the controls to take advantage of the touchpads (used the left one to select from the weapon wheel)
Where is Phantom Hourglass? I loved that game!
Currently stuck in the testing phase for an issue at work. The code changes were simple, but trying to test things across pods in Kubernetes is a real pain in the butt. Hoping I’ll eventually feel more comfortable with Kubernetes, but there is just so much to learn.
Outside of work I’ve gotten back into Rollerblading which I hadn’t done since middle school, and I have some fun vacation plans coming up.
