Privacy is a human right, thank you Edward Snowden. I dont use any social media other than:yewtu.be/newpipe Lemmy and Minds. I post my opinions on subjects wether people agree or not, if you want to disscuss than do so respectfully and ill do the same. Check out my sublemmy 10_0s basement.
I've got an old laptop running 32bit windows 10, and I want it to do something while it's idling, I've tried using it as a media server, but I don't need it anymore. Is there a 32bit CPU and/or GPU program for 32bit machines, the best video on YouTube told me to use the UnMineable program, but it only supports 64bit machines.
This would be a nice feature to have, so you don't have to manually check every instance you're apart of.
I mainly get comment notifications, so its not a big deal for me, but Lemmur is the only mobile app for Lemmy, so it would improve the experience of Lemmy users as a whole.
(and make federation an easier for new users.)
I have Metamask wallet, but i dont think its open source, or terribly secure, so im looking for a software wallet that can hold major currency's like: btc, eth, and monero.
Ive had a look at "Dash Electrum" but i dont think there's a linux app for it. i need something thats on: android, linux, and windows. I think that crypto is very interesting and i want to get into it, but i need a secure and private wallet first.
Im on a "pay as you go" contract so browsing lemmy or the internet in general can get expensive quickly, this isnt a problem for people who get unlimited data on a fixed plan.
But those plans are too expensive for me and many other users.(around about £15ish a month.)
If there was a mobile data mode for lemmy there would be downsides to the experience, such as lower picture quality, and the mild inconvenience of needing to click of an image before viewing. But i think that this is a needed feature for many users.
(This applies to lemmy and lemmur.)
I was recently thinking about buying an elecrtic scooter/bike to get from point A to point B, with everything so close in a city, and traffic being bad. What are your thoughts on cycle-lanes, and cycling/scooting in general?
