Adams is a great player and seems to be a stand up dude. Having said that, I think we should trade him this off season. He is later in his career and should be playing in meaningful games on a contender. I think he got really screwed by the last regime. One of the main reasons he came to Vegas was to play with his friend Carr. I’m sure he thought Carr would be his QB for the remainder of his career, only to watch McDaniels cut ties with Carr as soon as he could. This isn’t what DeVante signed up for. Given where the Raiders are as a team and where Adams is in his career trading him to a desired location if possible would be mutually beneficial.
If we are trading DA, the only acceptable return are picks to get us a top qb AND a top WR and even then I would rather now. DA is someone you want around this team. Period.
I am so sick and tired of these Adams posts. This is not a video game career mode where the focus is on filling your superstar player’s trophy case; This is the Raiders.
Also, people forget, Adams is from East Palo Alto. Part of the reason he came here was to be closer to family, it wasn’t just Carr.
Just depends on return offered and how the rest of the season goes. If we lose a bunch more, AoC struggled and we can get a decent first round pick to bundle with our other to trade uo and pick Williams or Maye etc. we probably move him.
If we win more and want to keep him to be more competitive next year and/or only get offered a second or lower we probably keep him.
If we trade Davante, say it’s because we want picks to build the roster, not any of that “he deserves to play for a better team” bullshit
So we just gonna pretend like all that stuff about Tae WANTING to be a raider and growing up a raider fan is all a fucking lie? Tae made the choice to be here period! He’s getting paid handsomely. All this “free Devante” bullshit is complete delusional nonsense. You all act like we’re holding his wife and kid hostage or some shit. Dude WANTED TO BE HERE. I’ll tell ya right now - the only way he’s not a raider next year is if Jets come offering at minimum a first rounder to get us in the QB sweepstakes. Giving up anything less would be a show of incompetence by the front office.
Saw an espn article talking about the Jets are going to continue to pursue him in the off season. If they end up with a top 7 pick and will give us their first for him they have to seriously consider it imo. That’d be enough ammo to either move up for the QB they want or have 2 picks in the top 10 to keep building up the team with.
