To set the scene, I think it was right for Carr to move on at the end of last season for everyone and the roster we’ve buit on the back of him, Waller moving etc. reliant upon that occurring.

However, seeing the good vibe in the locker room I would have loved to have seen Adams with Carr under AP and how that would have worked.

It might not have won a SB but reckon it could have been a fun season that was made you excited to watch the team.

Personally so happy Carr is gone. All those 3 and outs was part of the reason our defense was so bad. The 1st year he’s gone we all of a sudden have a better D just like I thought.

Anyone pining for Carr hasn’t watched him repeat all the same issues in NO. It was long past time to move on and look for greener pastures.

The reason for those 3 and outs is because he has no clue wtf to do in those moments and throws the ball away to protect his TD:INT ratio and QB rating. I wish people would acknowledge this more.

The best is when you see dudes in r/nfl or r/saints still defending him. Telling saints fans they’re not being appreciative of what he can do 😂😂😂

I will say that /r/Saints sub isn’t as delusional for a several reasons. There are definitely some crazies like you mentioned, but nowhere close to how bad it is here.

          1. He wasn’t drafted there so there isn’t that much “home grown” love.

          2. Lack of Fresno alumni fans (many of them happened to be Raiders fan due to proximity to Oakland who love him to death)

          3. They don’t have a “great year” with Carr that the fanbase is fixated with

          4. They actually have recent memory of what a HoF QB is supposed to play like

          5. They already saw how a middling QB plays with Dalton last year and have a reference point of what average QB play is like so they don’t get easily enthralled with it unlike Raiders fans who have seen trash for nearly 20 years

Oh yeah, should have specified that it’s hilarious to see the common r/raiders Stans go into the saints subreddit or still cape for him in nfl

But all your points are incredibly cogent, especially 4 & 5.
