McD fired Tuesday night, AP and Hardegree elevated Wednesday morning. Have to think most of the game plan had been installed at that point.

After game 1…. I liked the way he gave AOC the ability to call out of plays based on the D. JMD wanted his play only. I also liked when they went into a hurry up when it was beneficial. It seemed more well rounded also but hard to say if that was Jimmy being bad or JMD. Hopefully he will learn and build on each game.

And he did that to Carr which recognizing defenses and making changes at the line is what Carr is really good at. McD clearly had the “I know better than anyone” mentality.

He let jacobs pick out some of the run plays he wanted. That is a complete 180 from what McDumbass was doing.

“Better” would sum it up lol

Seriously, all this shit is in the McD playbook. He just didn’t wanna use it. Blows my mind

Nice to see Aiden is getting the ball out quick and Bo is taking advantage of his natural quick release to help the O-line. The QB school was a little terrifying to watch, if they can clean that up and keep getting the ball out quick I like our chances against the jets.

Even after reading the real truth is this: AOC’s arm is stronger than Jimmy. So the defense couldn’t crowd the box. The run game took off and they ran more play action. What they should have been doing anyway

Yup. Also Not just the arm strength but the willingness as well. AOC is not shy about taking a shot and looks to spread the ball around. Our offense was such a joy to watch because of it. Jimmy has one read then a check down. Guys were open under JMD as well, jimmy just wouldn’t even try to hit them.

Without reading, based on what I saw it is a lot of zone runs, which is what Jacobs excels at and is easier on the offensive line.

    More empty set spread formations.

Countering off of things that McDaniels never countered off of, like everytime Meyers lined up in line they knew he was coming to crack block and they would attack Jacobs, so Hardegree called the sweep to Meyers which resulted in a 17 yarf TD run (I stole that one from TDL LOL)

Interesting and creative formations like Meyers lined up at FB

More play action, especially play action off of the same exact looks they already showed running the ball.

It’s only been one game, but Hardegree actually looks like he pays attention to what defenses are seeing on film and counters against it, as well as gameplanning specifically for teams. I can’t remember the last time the Raiders had a playcaller like that.

People might think it’s just that teams don’t know his tendencies yet, but it looks like he actually knows what he’s doing.

I really want to see Bo agaisnt an elite defense. Aidan will no doubt struggle agaisnt better schemes, but if the offense looks decent agaisnt the better teams the raiders will have a tough decision to make this offseason.

1 game is not enough to tell. I’m sure he’ll open up the field, especially the middle. But, he might have some tendencies that DCs can counter. We don’t know yet. Hopefully, Bo will be inventive enough to mix up some of his own new plays into the JMcDs playbook that has been implemented so to take advantage of the players’ talents. Which Josh obviously didn’t do.
