Oil and gas are “not the problem” for the climate, but the carbon emissions arising from them are, the UK’s net zero minister has told MPs.

In words that suggested the UK could place yet more emphasis on technologies to capture and store carbon, Graham Stuart said fossil fuel production was not driving climate change, but demand for fossil fuels was.

Oil and gas aren’t harmful, just the things people do with them. There’s no problem with increased oil and gas production, just with how people use them. It’s not our problem if people choose to burn what we sell them for energy.

Guns don’t kill people, it’s what people do with them.

What is the large-scale carbon capture technology they’re counting on? As far as I know, it doesn’t exist. They’re just using words to dupe the ignorant while they continue to profit from oil and gas.

The Conservatives have nothing to offer and are the party of destructive greed and selfishness. They depend for votes on duping the most ignorant members of society. It’s no wonder they have decided to emulate the US Republican Party with their disingenuous nonsense.

The conservatives are not conservative and the government hasn’t done any governing in decades so it makes sense that climate action means exactly the opposite. No government of mine no government of mine.

I would get off to watching politicians go though the several stages of grief if we weren’t on track to hit ALT + F4 on human.exe

It’s not the gas it’s the emissions
