With just over 30 hours to go before a strike deadline he set, United Auto Workers President Shawn Fain on Wednesday rolled out the latest, unprecedented twist in his unorthodox campaign to win a historic contract for nearly 150,000 workers at the Detroit Three automakers.

I didn’t believe a word about him, I was sure he’d end up just like every other union boss in my lifetime, more boss than union, but he’s stood up. So who we got to inspire the working-class north of the 49th parallel?

      Part of me thinks this is one of those questions one shouldn’t ask if he isn’t willing to be the one he’s asking for, but I’ve been “organizing” my current workplace for nearly 3 years…and…well…its not going anywhere.
