Hi, I’ve been working through adding some more of the feedback I’ve received and wanted to post an update. We’ve also passed 1K+ downloads, which is pretty great for only being a couple days old. Biggest changes are added Share and download options to image views, Edit support for comments and posts, markdown previews when creating/editting, and a new list view with the thumbnail on the right.

For users with multiple accounts on different instances that share a username things should now work correctly as well!

  • Download images from web view directly
  • Share support (direct share and url share)
  • Markdown preview for creating/editting posts and comments
  • User switch dropdown background should now more closely match theme
  • Added edit functionality for posts and comments
  • Added delete comment button
  • Added Larger text display option
  • Added reverse list view (thumbnail on right side)
  • Added post replies to inbox
  • Made the touch targets on the sidebar community lists larger
  • Added display name functionality
  • Clicking a comment in the profile will now display only that comment chain + scroll to it
  • Added a domain display for posts with links

Bugfixes

  • Fixed a bug where account switching wouldn’t work when the username was the same
  • Fixed some API issues when the instance is running 0.18

Upcoming: The three biggest things on my list are still a more full featured markdown editor, image uploads, and user/community level blocks. Still waiting on Apkmirror to post the apk as well, might need to look into alternatives.

    I found a rather annoying bug, everytime you edit your comment it creates a new comment as you can see with my 3 posts sorry for the spam .

    holy hell are you fast, was going to open a bug report reg inbox and you fixed it with that update :D your app really makes feddit more enjoyable for me

        dont know if this is possible reg inbox, right now when you click on the msg it’s gone you cannot visit the same comment anymore. a History for inbox would be a nice to have

    I’m on 1.0.32 but unfortunately I’m still unable to add more than one account with the same username.

    I can sign into a 2nd account and it switches to the front page/all of that account but if I switch back to the first account, the 2nd one just isn’t there to choose from in the side bar.

    For reference, 1st account is lemmy.world, 2nd account is beehaw.org.

      Ok thanks that’s great feedback and helped me narrow down the issue! When I was adding the sign in page I made some assumptions that if a certain username is already logged in to not save it, I’ll change that to check on a usernam+instance basis.

    I like what I see so far. What I can see the, that is! :) These 66 years old eyes can cope just fine with “small” text in list view, but then need a magnifying glass for the comments. Being able to set those sizes independently would be nice. For the record, I’d likely end up setting them the same size and weight to balance having as much as possible on the screen while still being able to read what’s there.
