Ano ba to…
Kung ganyan yung ginagawa sa mga unpaid/volunteer mods sa reddit, dapat mag GTFO na sila dyan
Spez going full Hitler, the longer this saga gets, the more convinced I am that I made the right decision to leave.
I honestly can’t believe how stupid they’ve gone about this. Besides the removal of the mods and using their admin accounts to force the subreddits back to SFW without having mods to ensure NSFW content doesn’t get posted, they’re also shadowbanning people saying fuck spez, which is an extremely bad look. /r/mildlyinteresting wasn’t even posting NSFW content despite switching to NSFW, there are so many layers of incompetence to this entire thing.
Question: what happens to subs like r/interestingasfuck? If they switch it back to sfw, won’t the users still post…questionable stuff? No more reddit account so I’m ootl.
It will be interesting as fuck indeed.
It was fun while it lasted.
I hope that this makes the ignorant realize that this shitstorm is but a preview. Things will get worse and worse as the frog that are the ignorant gets boiled as the Reddit shareholders push to squeeze each and every drop of money that can be squeezed out of the users and their user data.
Reddit shareholders
Including Tencent.
I don’t think the
Chinese governmentTencent is looking to profit from Reddit monetarily. What I think is happening, and I may be completely off the mark here, is that Tencent’s share is for propping up a means for which China can propagate and legitimize their propaganda. /r/Sino and /r/GenZedong are in Reddit afterall.
In a weird twist, I think if Tencent had more control, we might see a more user-friendly Reddit, while at the same time, shadowbanning any voice that’s critical of China.
Regardless, that fucker is reeking of greed. And I hate greedy people.
Oh, yes~ Hard agree!
