Does a 9gag alternative exist that is in the fediverse (with ActivityPub)?
I guess a PixelFed instance addressed to meme makers would be the closest to 9gag
I think that is more of an Instagram alternative than it is a 9gag one.
What’s the difference between Instagram and 9gag functionally? I get that 9gag is about memes and Instagram is about everything but mostly people.
But both are sites to vote, comment and like images right?
I think it is about the UX and the navigation. i think that with PixelFed you can view profiles (like on Instagram) but you do not have a feed/stream like on 9gag (without adding people to your feed)

So Instagram is follow based and 9gag has a default feed. That makes sense.
A moderated meme-only instance would have local feed that would functionally be like 9gag I guess.
