It costs all telephony users money to receive texts. Even texts they don’t want they are still on the hook for. It’s not much, only about 6/10’s of a cent, but still. Every reply you send results in them being billed.

Generally what I’ve heard is that raccoons are very sweet and docile when young. They turn problematic as pets as they age.

Devil’s advocate: if you carry an iPhone (and you’re even moderately bought into the ecosystem), they already know who you are, where you go, and what you do. There’s nothing on a standard identity document that they don’t already have.
I could see this being a real convenience if you did a lot of travel. When I travel domestically, the only thing that I use my physical wallet for is my ID.
