According to social media, mansplaining is any occurrence of a man explaining anything to anyone. Which makes sense I guess, I mean you can hear it in the name. But they fail to explain why we need to create gendered verbs. I thought gendered nouns (fireman etc) were already considered a problem.
Yeah well, nobody uses “mansplaining” that way unless they are insane. It has a specific meaning - which is a very annoying thing to experience. So unless someone considers every information attained from a man as “annoying”, “explaining” works well for that.
