Hey, look, it’s the guy who won the Nobel prize from the article. Did you only use Facebook for your research, or lemmy too?

These types of comments give me faith in society! Or at least in Lemmy! Thank you for writing what I was thinking!

Yall are all downvoting him as if the science did not come out clearly showing the Johnson and Johnson vaccine was causing heart issues for women above 50. Its OK to be critical of facts. Ignoring them makes you damn near as bad as red hats

What are your thoughts on the fact that it is much safer to get the vaccine than to get Covid?

I had the vaccine, the Johnson and Johnson to be precise. Although I got it before we knew these issues and fortunately am not in the at risk demographic. In retrospect I was vaxed, and boosted and still have had covid 3 times. 2 of them were miserable. I think it clearly did fuck all to help me.

That’s a popular misconception about the vaccines.

They’re to keep the infection at a manageable level, i.e. like a regular miserable virus infection, not to stop you from being infected although they do reduce the risk of that too.

Another misconception: “I’m not in the risk demographic”. COVID affected people of all ages, just at different percentages of the population.
