Me, rewatching Star Trek V:
It’s still a fun time
Actually just had a thought. Have the events of this movie ever been referenced again? At least outside of the TOS movies? Only thing I can think of is SNW SPOILERS
spoiler
Sybock being name dropped in Strange New Worlds recently
It’s crazy how they experience some of these wild, potentially life-changing discoveries, and then just file it away in a report to never be talked about again.
If they file it at all. When the sensors record fuck all do you wanna file that thing about Abraham Lincoln floating in space? Really risking getting tossed into a medical facility on some Starbase somewhere.
But I swear! He came aboard, then apologized for referring to Uhura by an old timey-slur!
Lol, watched the movie 3 nights ago after talking with you about Sybok in the comment section of another thread some time before. ^^
It’s definitely something isn’t it? lol
I know it’s not very popular, but I watched that movie many times back when I was a wee lass. Thus I still enjoy it every now and then.
Oh I completely get it. It has it’s moments of good and bad, like anything. Still Star Trek though and I dig it <3
I also crave eating Marshmelons and singing at a campfire now.
It’s so corny and indulgent (Kirk climbing El Capitan?), but I can’t look away. It’s a fun movie.
Lower Decks references it a couple times
Oh shit they must have sailed right over my head. I’m guessing Memory Alpha probably has a list of references. I’m gonna have to do some research.
Yep. I never would have caught that. I am not nearly as familiar with TOS and TOS movies as I should be…
Do you understated the posters for each season? In hoping for season V they visit the prsion planet from start trek V.
Sometimes money, drugs and good intentions come together in a funky way. It was fate…fate brought them all together so Uhura could do a sexy dance on a sand dune.
Ahh, how did I leave that scene out of the meme?!
Yeah but at least we got Marshmelons from it.
YES. I call them that to this day, and no one has ever called me on the reference.
Captain Kirk is climbing a mountain. Why is he climbing the mountain?
Because Shatner directed the movie, and decided that was something Kirk would do
This unearthed that old memory, and I literally hadn’t thought about it in years…
There it is! :D
Still better than the modern shows
I dunno. Lower decks is pretty amazing.
The campfire scene keeps hitting harder and harder as the years go by.
