      It’s worse than that though:

“I think that these people need to be replaced,”

“If we do that,” Peters continued, “none of this song and pony show dance fake circus nonsense would even be in existence because the people that are perpetuating this and have openly declared war on the American people will be held to extreme accountability, and they will be gone.”

the only thing stopping them from completing [their new world order] is 450 million guns in this country, so now we just need to talk about what to do with those guns and how to use them.”

This is calling for the death of political opponents.

These people always seem to forget the fact that many of us libs are armed to the teeth and actually practice with our arms. Mine are not “safe queens” or “penis extensions”. Mine work and I’m good enough with them.

They also forget that POC, LGBT/trans folks, women and other typically liberal demographics have been the largest group of gun buyers for a few years. And they’re asking what to buy, how to be responsible, how to train.

My Colt Government Model sits on my desk, where I work and play, and either my AR-15 or my 12-gauge sits by my bed where I sleep.

If they want to get their back up, I will not go quietly into the night. Rest of y’all libs can clutch your pearls and agonize over, “How can we take these guns away?!” You cannot choose to be peaceful if you are harmless.

If guns ensured the safety of minorities, why isn’t America the safest country in the world for minorities? Instead, those minorities are threatened and hunted by legal gun owners.

Insisting that those minorities follow your example and surround themselves with poorly secured firearms at all times is not only deeply fucked in the head, it doesn’t even work.

Someone who wants to kill (which to put bluntly, sounds like it includes you) will always have the advantage over someone being forced to kill.

All armed minorities does is gives far-right extremists the excuse they need to execute undesirables, a realisation the police have been taking full advantage of.

Oh and of course funnel profits to the gun lobby, which is undoubtedly the origin of these kinds of self-aggrandising social media posts from “liberals”.

You’re not a hero. You’re a product of systemic failure and a for-profit industry advertising itself as the solution, like the tobacco companies telling people smoking was good for asthma.

The people you’re pretending to protect would be safer in countries with gun laws you oppose. Put your guns in a safe and grow up.

From the link above, to save you a click:
    "sedition

    n. the federal crime of advocacy of insurrection against the government or support for an enemy of the nation during time of war, by speeches, publications and organization. Sedition usually involves actually conspiring to disrupt the legal operation of the government and is beyond expression of an opinion or protesting government policy. Sedition is a lesser crime than “treason,” which requires actual betrayal of the government, or “espionage.” Espionage involves spying on the government, trading state secrets (particularly military) to another country (even a friendly nation), or sabotaging governmental facilities, equipment or suppliers of the government, like an aircraft factory. During U.S. participation in World War II (1941-1945) several leaders of the German-American Bund, a pro-Nazi organization, were tried and convicted of sedition for actively interfering with the war effort. Since freedom of speech, press and assembly are guaranteed by the Bill of Rights and because treason and espionage charges can be made for overt acts against the nation’s security, sedition charges are rare.

It is hypocritical to claim to be the party of law and order when you support sedition, the interference of elections, and violence against political enemies.

Is Stupider representative of all conservatives? You know, making the stupider assumption he’s actually conservative and not a troll?

Also, “the party of law and order” I didn’t know the GOP had exclusive rights to the conservative mindset, and they were all identical.

At least in my latest fluff post, I made sure to mention that it was one guy doing a dumb thing, and not representative of all lefties, or even the DNC.

So why post this here and not /politics?

Also, the dude is a troll, if the name didn’t give it away.

I deleted my other response to give a more detailed one now that I have the time.

So why post this here and not /politics?

This is the conservative community, and this article is about conservatism. That alone means that this article is relevant. Additionally, this article was already posted at c/politics, so there would be no point making a second post there. Third, there is sentiment amongst conservatives that democrats are authoritarians instead of republicans, and articles like these clearly show the opposite. I had a whole conversation about /u/10a about this exact sort of thing.

Also, the dude is a troll

I’m not. Just because somebody disagrees with you doesn’t mean that they are a troll. If you want to know what a troll looks like, then look no further than the guy that got banned the other day for telling people to shoot themselves for being democrats.

if the name didn’t give it away.

I just couldn’t think of a name tbh. And conservatives have a habit of shooting/killing/calling for the death of political opponents (see quote above), so I had no intention of using an identifiable name.

Responding to your other comment here

      it’s not really suited here

“A community to discuss conservative politics and views.” is the purpose of this community. This article is about conservitve politics and views. I don’t know what else to tell you.

And every time you do, all my posts get buried for the next few days.

If your ideas cannot survive in the free market of ideas, then that is on you.

Ah, I see what you meant now. I’m too used to you and others calling me a troll automatically, simply because I disagree.

Regardless, from what I can tell, Stew Peters is his actual name, not a joke or troll name:

          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stew_Peters

          https://www.havasunews.com/news/judge-rules-arizona-has-jurisdiction-to-hear-sheehy-s-defamation-lawsuit-against-national-podcaster-stew/article_b0e55b02-281c-11ee-9531-f761d2967534.html

And double regardless, shit like this within conservatism should be a giant red flag no matter what subsection of conservatism is saying it. Being “ironically” racist is racist, similarly being “ironically” fascist is still fascist. /u/PeepinGoodArgs has explained this very well.

That second link is from a court case, which presumably would have his actual name. And again, I don’t care too much if he is a troll or not. The fact that conservatives embrace him at all is a problem.

              Red flag for what exactly?

For conservatism. I’m sure you’ve heard this quote before, “If there’s a Nazi at the table and 10 other people sitting there talking to him, then you got a table with 11 Nazis.” This guy may not be a literal Nazi, but he is waving the flag of fascism for one reason or another, and he is quite successful in the right wing sphere from what I can tell.
