For those who skip reading articles: This happened in Babahoyo, Ecuador. The woman was declared dead and immediately placed into a casket. The family arrives hours later to dress her in funeral attire and find her breathing.
Aren’t bodies usually embalmed before funerals? In this case it’s a good thing she wasn’t, but usually it helps avoid the whole being buried alive problem.
I think it often depends on where the funeral is taking place. Where I’m from I don’t think bodies are embalmed.
