How are folks doing so far with the heatwave? I’m lucky enough to have AC (installed it early on just in case) but I figure it’s been bad in some places!
Here is a link to the city of Edmonton extreme weather response page with links to local water stations if anyone needs them.

My partner and I just moved into a new place with central A/C. Before that, I spent the last 15 years with a portable unit. I definitely can’t sleep when it’s hot, so I’m not sure what I’d be doing without that conditioning. Heck, I can barely go camping in a tent anymore. Getting old much?
I feel you strongly. I work from home, and it would be brutal in the apartment I’m in during the days without AC.
And yeah, camping in tents is tough now… I have to have a nice air mattress or else I wake up with huge aches and pains. Small motorhome/trailer is a worthwhile investment (especially since you can kit them out with solar and toss an air purifier inside)
Yep, agreed. Cold showers are also a good idea, as an option. Much more affordable than a trailer…
Good 'ole dip in the lake is nice too when camping to cool off. I’m just in my 30s now so less heat tolerant than I was in the past
Ugh, yup. I hear ya…
