I like this addition to Android a lot, Fit felt like an insufficient replacement for Apple’s Health app when I switched to Android

No Google fit connects into this. It allows apps like Fitbit, Samsung health and Google fit to all have the same data.

So I don’t have to tell my watch how much I weigh, my Fitbit scale tells the Fitbit app and that syncs with google connect so that Samsung health can then pass that to galaxy 5 watch.

I wish there was an actual vendor neutral standard for this stuff so we didn’t need interop hacks like this

How nice of Google to give everyone access to the health data they’ve been harvesting.

…I find it halarious that people need software to lift things, eat properly and just stay mobile and active…

Actually, it’s more sad then hilarious.

I find it hilarious that you think people who use health trackers “need” them to get fit, rather than being a source of personal data that helps improve how you manage your diet and exercise.

You could pretty much reduce any use of modern software to that kind of comment. E.g. I find it halarious that people need spellcheck to write things correctly.

Well…it’s true though. People have gotten insanely bad at spelling since phones because glued to people’s hands. Thanks for agreeing with me.

It’s a tool, and for some people tracking calories and workouts is important. I find it funny that people shit on those that are trying to improve themselves.

Edit: I have a bodybuilder friend that tracks everything he puts in his body down to the milligram and every step and workout including reps. Is he a sad individual? I have another friend that needed both hips replaced and gained a couple pounds and is tracking their information. Are they sad? Sorry but dude, let people enjoy things and do things that don’t hurt others.

      It’s to track.

My doctors want to know my weight, temperature, blood pressure o2 saturation, and sleep habits.

I can show them all of it with 1 app, as everything is tracked automatically.

Perhaps you should look into caring about your health more?
