There are fountains of wealth being generated in this country. But that wealth isn’t trickling down to working people. It’s all stuck at the top.

Taxing the rich will generate significant revenue, but that’s not its only purpose. By reducing inequality we can balance the scales of society.
Very important point that’s often omitted. The capital accumulated by the 1% provides exorbitant power to direct society in ways that serve the 1%. Directly via different markets and indirectly via (legally) buying political power.
How can you tax them when they are the ones indirectly creating protectionist laws? Also, they have a thousand unlawful ways to hide their wealth. I think the problem is capitalism. Also, saying shit like this is par for the course when you are attempting to grab your own slice of power. Regardless, I will still vote for the NDP because I believe they are the party for the people. Liberals/Conservatives best they can do is turn money knobs up and down, depending on which way the wind is blowing. Money ain’t people.
