Hey guys. Based on my reqs, I’m hoping somebody can give me a recommendation or two. My main concern would be my budget and value for money.

Availability: Should be available in Malaysia

  • Resolution: 1440p+
  • Refresh rate: 120hz+
  • Size: 27"+
  • Budget: Flexible, ideally around USD 250 / RM 1000. Or if this is a pipe dream, somebody tell me what to expect.
  • Use case: Programming, gaming, surfing. Pretty much everything.

    I don’t know about SKU availability in Malaysia, but you should be able to find 1440p 120hz 27" for $250 no problem.

    The pricing is typically for branding, OLED and HDR type functionality.

    I would check out Samsung Odyssey G5 S27CG550, Gigabyte M27Q or AOC and Xiaomi variants if you want something cheaper.

    I would personally go with the Samsung if you are OK with the design (I personally don’t like the gaming-style design). It’s 165 hz and even has HDR10 support.
