I used to, I would even add links to the Reddit Posts, but then everyone would get angry at me.

Also, people are more than welcome to post their own stuff.

    (Obviously @wSSeko@lemmy.world does)

I’m sorry, when did they get angry at you, and why? Even in your oldest posts (still on this instance, at least), you weren’t providing credit.

They would get angry because apparently (their words) they didn’t want Lemmy to turn into Reddit.

Also, apparently I seemed like a bot, idk.

It might have been on a different instance, its been forever.

Well it looks like you’re giving credit to your newest posts here, so thank you. I’m newer to Lemmy so I don’t know exactly what would make people angrier here: acting like a content aggregator from Reddit, or deceiving others into thinking you made content that had already been posted on Reddit. This is an instance based on an artistic property, and since there are some whom take pride in the work that they have put into making content, it’s a common courtesy to acknowledge their efforts. Thanks again for listening and understanding!

I don’t recall excessive anger, but if that is a concern, I can’t imagine that most people would take issue with crediting Reddit usernames in plaintext.
