    Critics dismiss FortisBC’s renewable gas strategy, noting the fuel made out of methane captured from sewage and landfills is still 80 times more potent than carbon dioxide over a 20-year span if it escapes into the atmosphere.

    I don’t follow this argument; they’re capturing and burning methane that would otherwise be released directly into the atmosphere.

    To me the weak point is that they’ll never make it a significant part of their offering, not that they’re attempting to do it at all.

    And Alberta: stay out of BC politics unless you want BC to return the favour.
