My weekend’s started today already, so I might get some more time in to play. Might continue Lies of P, but I’ll probably start another playthrough of Disco Elysium instead - feel like going for some comfort gaming again.

By “easy” boss, I mean a boss like Asylum/Taurus Demon in DS1 or Chained Ogre/Bull in Sekiro: a boss that’s meant to be more of an introduction to the game and pose a bit of a roadblock for new players but ultimately nothing that should take you too long. Maybe a gimmick boss too? Whatever you feel like should be easy and took you too long for your liking.

For me, it’s probably Juzou the Drunkard from Sekiro. Mind you, basically any boss in Sekiro can give you a run for your money, but Juzou single-handedly made me quit the game three times over. Don’t get me wrong - it’s not an easy fight considering he’s got a whole army of foot soldiers to help him and that you, essentially, need to pick them off one by one any time you try to reattempt the fight, plus he’s got a strong moveset. But considering he’s accessible so early on, basically right after getting access to Hirata Estate possibly even before fighting the Ogre, he’s quite a challenge. He’s still a roadblock for me at times whenever I go for another run these days and that’s after getting a platinum and beating the game like 6 or 7 times?

Bloodborne was my very first soulslike and Gascoigne took me weeks to get through. It was so frustrating and yet, I could see that there was a path to beating him. I really had to gut gud.

After it clicked, I progressed through the game steadily and even got the platinum. I went in to platinum the Dark Souls series, Elden Ring and Nightreign.

Sekiro is a different story. I also struggled with the drunkard for days. I still haven’t finished the game.
