That time of year is finally here. For me, the real sign that the NHL season is upon us isn’t the first preseason game, but the morning I can grab a coffee and a fresh pack of Tim Hortons hockey cards. This year’s set officially releases this Monday.

I’ve already started thinking about the checklist. The big chase this year, as always, are obviously the redemption cards, but I’m still hoping to pull a great McDavid insert or a nice donut redemption card. Beyond the big hits, I just love the ritual of sorting the base set and the surprise of finding a cool insert.

So, what’s everyone’s plan?

• Are you a set builder trying to get all the base cards?
• Who is the main player you’re chasing this year?
• Any specific inserts, like the “Ice Gems” or “Trophy Winners,” that you’re hunting for?
• Do you plan on buying a few boxes right away, or will you stick to one pack at a time with your daily coffee?
